Knowledge Graph and Semantic Engineer
Accountabilities:
As a Knowledge Graph and Semantic Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and delivering semantic and graph-based solutions across our manufacturing, supply chain, and development functions. You will engineer robust and scalable ontology-driven knowledge models, build and query knowledge graphs, integrate structured and unstructured data, and apply semantic standards to enhance data interoperability. Collaborating closely with product teams and data engineers, you will bring semantic capabilities into real-world business applications. Essential Skills/Experience:
- Hands-on experience with Neo4j, Cypher, and property graph modeling.
- Proficiency with RDF, OWL, SHACL, SPARQL, and other semantic web technologies.
- Strong Python skills with experience in data pipelines, REST APIs, and automation.
- Ability to translate business concepts into structured, ontology-driven knowledge models.
- End-to-end experience delivering graph or semantic data projects in production environments.
- Experience working in Agile teams and engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Familiarity with tools like Protégé, VocBench, or TopBraid for ontology development.
- Exposure to graph-based AI/ML use cases such as embeddings, reasoning, or LLM integration.
- Understanding of data governance, metadata, and FAIR principles.
- Experience with industrial or manufacturing data from systems such as ERP, MES, IoT platforms, or Cognite Data Fusion.
- Awareness of use case specific GenAI tools available in the market and their application in day-to-day work scenarios.
- Possess working knowledge of basic prompting techniques and continuously improve these skills.
- Stay up-to-date with developments in AI and GenAI, applying new insights to work-related situations.
